Three Blue and White Tableware Items, China, late Ming Dynasty, two tea bowls with gently flared rims, depicting figures in rural landscapes of rivers and mountains, dia. 3 1/2, and a barbed-rim plate, the central medallion decorated with figures traveling by boat and by ox, surrounded by a border of waterbirds and plants, the exterior decorated with stylized floral vines, dia. 7 3/4 in.
Provenance: Formerly of the Larry B. Cohen collection, Massachusetts, plate was published in Ming Porcelain, by Adrian Joseph, plate 654.
