Eight assorted Bakelite pins
A carved amber sea monster with a faceted red glass eye, 2 3/4"l, (restoration), a two-piece carved green dragon with faceted red glass eye, (longer piece: 3"), 3 bar pins (maroon, root beer missing charms), and a log bar pin with two charms (1 missing), a painted lama, and a wood champagne bucket with amber, bottle and ice, 2" dia, together with a metal mounted white plastic
From the Rodrigo J. Mouré Estate, of Bowling Green, VA. Mr. Mouré, a pioneer in the plastic jewelry industry in the 1930s, opened the Manhattan Bakelite company, Alta Novelty, with his brother Robert, in 1936. Alta Novelty supplied jewelry to numerous exclusive department stores on Fifth Avenue, as well as stores in Boston, Los Angeles, and Neiman Marcus in Texas.
