This rod was built by ten year old Fran for his father. The rod has an old working Pflueger Sal-Trout no.1554 that needs a cleaning and oiling. The rod would benefit with a new coat of rod varnish and fresh guides, many U.S. anglers are once again enjoying the smoothness of vintage glass rods. About Fran: he is known worldwide for his custom tied flies, and as the originator of the AuSable Wulff in 1964, acclaimed by many fly fisherman as the most productive dry fly ever created.
