Description
This piece is from the Oglala Sioux Native American Indians and is a full beaded Awl Case. This piece is in excellent condition and is covered in 1800's glass trade seed beads. The case would hold an awl, a longpointed tool used to punch holes, and is from circa 1890. The piece has a wonderful pattern and also larged Hudson Bay white heart trade beads. The piece comes in a black display case with glass top measures12.25"x16.25" and 3/4" thick. The awl case measures 12.5" long with the top flap showing 5" when laid out.
