Description
This is an original double sided tightly beaded bag from the Nez Perce Native American Indians. The bag is from circa 1900-1910's in excellent condition. Nez Perce are famous for their beautifully designed and very tightbead work. This piece is from circa 1890-1900 and is in great condition. The first side shows s large elk surrounded by flowers and the other side showing Golden Finch style birds pirched on flower vines.The piece is done with oiginal 1800's seed beads and rare carnival glass style beads. The inside has a 1800's calico pattern with the handles being a buckskin added many years later. The bottom has beaded fringe withdentalium shells. Measures 8" in diameter.
