A pair of Louis XV-style giltwood fauteuils or open armchairs circa 1900, each with rose-carved cresting to the shaped padded back, the partially padded arms on bowfront seat and carved apron raised on cabriole legs to front and rear, 27" seat width x 42" high, (68.5cm x 107cm).

General minor flaking and joint cracks, a few small losses but sturdy. Recently re-upholstered. Most of decoration is carved wooden, not wire and gesso.
