Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured blue topaz is set within a diamond bezel supported by diamond set shoulders, completed by a three millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "14K". Containing: One prong set emerald step cut natural blue topaz, measuring 10.09 x 8.90 x 5.60mm, 10%. bulge factor, approximate weight of 5.27ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, light, slightly grayish, very slightly greenish blue color, (GIA vslgB 3/2), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. A deposit of a thin layer has been applied to the topaz to produce the intense color effect. The process utilizes a very high temperature treatment, diffusion of ions into the topaz, plus in some cases neutron bombardment has been used to create the color center.
