Description
A vividly painted Chancay bottle, c. AD 1100-1450, with rounded body, short spout and two small handles. The vessel is decorated with four panels containing geometric motifs in dark brown slip, contrasting nicely with the crème colored ground. H: 8 ¼ in (21 cm). Intact with light deposits. Stand not included. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
