ITALIAN BAROQUE STYLE METAL AND IVORY INLAID BUREAU CABINET
19th century, the triangular pediment above an ivory inset panel etched with putti
flanked by ebonized eagles, the mid section with two doors inlaid with figures and
foliage opening to a fitted interior, the corners with freestanding spiral-turned columns,
above an inlaid slant-front above a frieze drawer, with an open lower part with inlaid
cylindrical legs, stretchers and bun feet. Height 7 ft. 1 in., Width 42 in., Depth 20 in.

OVERALL CONDITION IS VERY GOOD. The slant front is locked, lacking key. The cabinet has had some past restoration to replace minor losses to inlay. It is an attractive cabinet, with quality detailing, it is sturdy and of good color.
