A fine Meissen Schneeball "Snowball" covered cup the bowl encrusted with small white flowers of gradating size each with a central yellow stamen and painted with magenta striations to depict individual petals with an applied handle embellished in gold, the lid likewise decorated with a large central rose which serves as the knob. Crossed swords mark in blue under glaze. Losses. Provenance: The Estate of Mrs. W. A. Criswell, Dallas, Texas. 5.25"H, Circa - Mid 19th C.
