A Louis XV style bureaux plat, the shaped top bordered with heavy ormolu mounts and inset with a tooled leather writing surface, the frieze with three drawers to one side and three false drawers to the other, all framed with ormolu moldings and set with heavy ormolu handles, the four cabriole shaped legs surmounted by heavy ormolu Espagnolettes and terminating in leafy sabots. Provenance: The Estate of Mrs. W. A. Criswell, Dallas, Texas. 69" x 37" x 31" . Circa - 3rd quarter. 20th C.
