modeled as Art Nouveau dancer Loie Fuller, with her left leg outstretched, her full skirts billowing on either side. Base signed, "R. Carabin," underside of base cast, "4 F." Francois Rupert Carabin (French 1862-1932) is most recognized for his depictions of women. Loie Fuller, an America dancer, was a fore-runner in modern dance and a major inspiration for a bevy of Art Nouveau artists. 7.25"H, Circa - 1896-1897.
