Description
A group of 5 Campanian black-ware votive vessels, Magnia Graecia, c. 4th Century BC, each a miniature for use as an offering. Vessels include wide plate, an olpe, a deep bowl with vertical sides, a pyxis, and a small offering plate. Largest vessel measures 1 5/8 in (4.2 cm) in diameter. A couple with minor chipping, but nice examples of this interesting class of pottery which is still constructed on the wheel for votive and funerary use. Ex Orange County private collection.
