The set comprising a punch bowl, ladle, tray and twelve cups with hand hammered finish, the punch bowl raised on a circular openwork pedestal of eight enameled silver panels, further set on a stepped dome base, the ladle with oval fluted bowl, angular handle and beaded terminal, the round tray and bowl with tight gadroon rims, the tulip-form cups with beaded foot; the ladle further marked with a unicorn and the tray with crafter's marks for Robert H. Bean (castle), Fletcher S. Carter (arrow), Chester A. Dow (boat) and Gayden F. Marshall (crown).
This rare punch bowl set by Old Newbury Crafters is named The Palladian Punch Set. The set was made in conjunction with Shreve Crump & Low Company of Boston. A limited edition of ten were made in 1969.
