A reversible Paisley shawl, circa 1870, of square form woven repeat scallop forms containing flowering plants in mainly red, and brown, fringed border on two sides, 170 by 177cm; together with a foldover shawl, probably Norwich c.1810-20, the soft cream wool ground with narrow foliate border in mainly olive green, blue and red, 108 by 110cm,
Condition
One small ink stain and brown stain to one side, other side is fresh in appearance. Cream shawl - has been cut down from a larger shawl in the 19th century, very faint marks but could not be described as stains to the central ground
