An interesting group of Glass Developments Ltd pressed glass buttons and jewellery, circa 1945, on 3 display boards and loose, 33, Bimini style waffle and seal effects, ballerina in clear and opaque glass, the shanks marked 'Glass Developments Ltd Brixton SW2'; including 4 opaque and milk-glass brooches, pair of brown floral earrings; together with literature relating to the company; and a group of Famox and other pressed glass buttons and a ring, the largest 5.1cm, 2in, (qty) Glass Developments Ltd of Brixton was owned by H.R. Thomas. It began at Morrish Road Brixton, later moving to Endbourne Road, Brixton Hill. One of their most notable customers was Norman Hartnell - HM the Queen's dressmaker.
