2.75” engraved image on 12” x 9.25” sheet—light dampstaining and moderate wear to edges. This proof impression is a wood-line engraving by an unknown artist. The print formerly belonged to an American collection of “President George Washington” pictures regarded as one of the largest and most distinguished sets of Washingtonia. An unusual variety of portrait—the first we’ve seen of this type!
