An exceptional 30" x 40" mid to late 19th century oil painting of Shakespeare's Othello and Desdemona. Signed lower right with illegible signature although appears to be "A. Hilston". Framed in original magnificent gold frame with heavy raised floral designs. Frame is 42" h x 53" w/with the heavy edges being 7". Older gold paint over original on frame. Fine condition. EST. $2000. - $4000.
