Lynn Bogue Hunt (New York, New York, 1878-1960) 29" x 19" gouache on board of pheasants. Signed lower right "Lynn Bogue Hunt". Lynn Bogue Hunt, one of the country's greatest periodical wildlife artist's, called the Audubon of his time. Hunt made some of the most recognizable sporting art ever created, including one of the earliest duck stamps. He completed about 250 separate cover paintings for nearly forty different magazines. Titles, including Boys Life, Colliers, Better Homes & Gardens, etc. Fine listed artist. Listed in Davenports, Fieldings, Mallett, Who's Who, etc. Fine condition in original frame.
