Classic Rock Posters, Led Zeppelin & Big Brother

This rare Led Zeppelin concert poster was for the August 1, 1969 show produced by Jim Salzer; it took place at the Santa Barbara Fairgrounds Arena; Jethro Tull and the Fraternity of Man were also on the bill. The illustration is by Frank Bettancourt; the image is featured in the concert poster book The Art of Rock. This is a wonderful example of the high-art style employed by rock poster illustrators of the late 60s. Color is still very nice; there is a slight crease at upper portion, but overall in excellent condition. Sight: 22 1/2 x 16 1/2, Frame: 26 1/2 x 20 1/2
The central image of the Big Brother and the Holding Company concert poster is a dot print image of Marlon Brando in "The Wild Ones," above this the graphics read "Big Brother and the Holding Co with Michelle Bastian," beneath the graphics read "Cris Loiter and the Hangouts Aug. 29, 87 Old Fillmore Fillmore and Geary."
