Beach Boys Signed Surfboard
Emerging in the mid-60s as the only serious challenge to the Beatles' dominance of the pop charts, the Beach Boys grew to be much more than just a surf band. They were nevertheless forever associated with the sport, and deserve a large part of the credit for the rise of surfing's popularity during the 60s. This James See brand surfboard was signed by the original Beach Boys, Mike Love, Al Jardine, and Carl Wilson, in addition to the later addition Bruce Johnston. Signatures of Al Jardine and Carl Wilson have faded. The board is marked as created for a Mike Goggins. The surfboard measures 71 x 19.
