Bankart, Capt. George: View under Clifton Grove

Picturesque landscapes of Nottinghamshire, England. Circa 1865. 2 albumen prints. Circa 23 x 28 cm and 21,5 x 27 cm. Flush-mounted to card (slight foxing and buckled).
Capt. George Bankart was an officer in the British Army. During the 19th century in England officers often learned photography as part of their military training; attractive views were often the outcome of this training. - Slightly faded along edges, otherwise in very good condition.
