Inserted in gilt-edged album pages(edges time-stained), annotated in ink in detail (actor's and photographer's names) on album pages beneath the images, bound in contemporary leather album (edges rubbed, spine cracked, missing brass clasp).An extensive collection of French theater actor portraits of the 1860s - 1880s, including an early portrait of Sarah Bernhard. Photographers include: Disderi, Nadar, Carjat, Bergamasco, Reutlinger, Hanfstaengl etc. - Some faded, mostly in edges, many in very good condition.
