Duran Duran were among the first big stars of the MTV era, and they took full advantage of the new medium with flashy videos and a distinct sense of style. Their 1983 LP Seven and the Ragged Tiger would produce their first number one US hit, "The Reflex." The album would go double platinum, further confirming Duran Duran as the kings of new wave. This album cover proof was signed by members of the band in various scrawls; signatures have faded somewhat over time, with Nick Rhodes standing out most clearly in blue ink.
