Description
Like many singers, Cyndi Lauper will forever be identified with her first big hit single, "Girls Just Want To Have Fun." But it was another song from her breakthrough debut album, She's So Unusual, that has stood the test of time: "Time After Time." Ms. Lauper co-wrote the song with Rob Hyman. At least 70 different artists, including Miles Davis, have covered the song.
This "Time After Time" tribute framed display includes sheet music from the song and a color performance photograph of the artist, both autographed by her - one in red ink and the other in silver-colored ink - during her appearance at the 20th American Music Awards in 1993. Both autographs include not only the artist's name but what would become a trademark of her signature - a doodled heart and peace symbol. The photograph and the cover of the sheet music depict Cyndi Lauper in her high 80s New Wave style. The mounted display, framed in a gold-toned metal, includes a pair of yellow and purple beaded necklaces similar to those worn by the artist during this period. These items are set against a hot pink matte. Display: 18 1/4 x 40 1/4
