Paul McCartney Autographed Award Plaque, 1976

The Port of Long Beach presented this award to Paul McCartney, which he subsequently autographed. A brass porthole shaped ring (screw-mounted to the rectangular wood plaque), contains a round acrylic inset. The acrylic inset encases a gold-tone world map, and a flag emblem of the Port of Long Beach, with Paul McCartney's bold signature in black marker written on the top half of the round acrylic inset. A rectangular plaque beneath is inscribed as follows:

Port Of Long Beach H.M.S. Queen Mary Honorary Capt. & First Mate Paul & Linda McCartney 1976

The Queen Mary was also the site where Dick Clark held his first New Year's Rockin' Eve celebration, which was in 1972. 12 x 10 1/4 x 1
