LARGE SLIDE LID BOX WITH OLD PAINTED DEC

LARGE SLIDE LID BOX WITH OLD PAINTED DECORATION. Pine with bittersweet and white scrolling and initials "A. H. D., 1826" on a blue ground. Dovetailed corners with a reeded lid and a mix of the original rose head and later nails in the bottom. Age splits in the base with some rim damage and has a replaced runner inside. 24 1/4"l. 15 1/2"d. 8 1/2"h.
