GREAT BASIN GIRL'S MODEL CRADLEBOARD. Ute. Ca. 1890. Yellow stained ochre leather, possibly for a small baby. Close ties with the Apache are evident in the wooden base loop, traditional Ute wicker frame is retained. Deep sky blue favored by the Ute with green, black and pearly white in a visually striking floral effect. Missing hood, either wicker (see lot 446) or leather.
