NORTHERN PLAINS/PLATEAU TOY CRADLEBOARD. Blackfoot or Umatilla cradleboard with wooden carved doll. Geometric beading to the head of the cradle can be attributed to the area by shape of the cradleboard. Interesting use of ceremonial cloth design with circles of red and green on a yellow ochre background. These two tribes are known for their similar 'holy' medicine shirts. Ca. 1890. Ex.
