Fireman bright red shirt, 1/6 plate daguerreotype

He wears a bright red shirt. Sometimes the shield on the hat is specially created for daguerreotype portraits so that the company number will read correctly in the reversed image. Here the number "4" is reversed but beneath it "C. WA" reads correctly. Rich, clear undamaged 1/6 plate was re-sealed. Full case with repaired spine [4-].
