This is an advertising carte from H. J. Jacoby's Art Gallery, St. Peter, Minnesota. He's written "Our Grasshopper" in pen on the mount beneath the print. Wonderful imaginative photograph, an example of how "low art" can have a vitality that would later be imitated in "high art," where it would be proclaimed as innovative. Some wear to mount, upper left corner bent and worn. [D2+]
