a) Young Ada in front of her house, with pen inscription on verso: "Ada C. Stillwell, my interpreter at Nespelem" signed by Meany in 1901. There are photographs by Meany of Ada and her father in "Kopet" figures 7 and 67. This 7" x 5" matte print by Meany is somewhat light, with a bend and torn corners [D1]. b) "Ada + Emma Stillwell with Nez Perce Baby" [identified pen verso.] 2 young Indian children in front. 4 ¾" x 6 ¾" card-mounted photograph by Edward H. Latham. "Kopet" Fig. 38. Slight bend upper left, mild surface wear [2+]. c) Ada (left) and Emma with Dr. Latham's dogs. 4" x 4 ¼" matte print. d) Latham's dogs. 4" x 5". e) Ada (left), Emma and Nez Perce gather flowers. 4 ¾" x5 ¾". The last 3 are by Latham are [3]. Aside from this important acknowledgment by Meany, these show the intimate friendship of the girls with the babies and children on the reservation.
