4 7/8" x 3 7/8" gelatin silver print by E. H. Latham, pen caption on verso in his hand. He holds a wood "courting flute". His vest, with design of spotted horses, a fringe of brass shoe buttons along the bottom, is a rare example made of hemp, in the twining technique. [3+]
