a) A handsome standing profile. His hat rests in the corner, but for the photograph he wears a fine headdress. Latham's caption is "Dress Costume." Ada later added his name, that means "Swans on the Water." 7 5/8" x 5 ¾" gelatin silver print. Minute bends at extreme corners [3+].
b) "Charlie Wilpoken & wife" by Latham, with his pen caption on verso. The daughter stands between, his brother to his left. See "With One Sky Above Us," p. 101, where the location is identified as Latham's house. 7 5/8" x 5 ¾" gel. silver print. Minute folds in extreme rt. corners [3+]. c) "Charlie Will-pock'en/ pinto horse for parade & especial occasions." Pen caption on verso by Latham. 3 ¾" x4 ¾" gel. silver print [3]. d) Charlie's brother, with the coyote skin emblematic of his service as a scout [3].
