Clove pumping station, Staten Island, NY, 2 photos

Pair of 7 ¼" x 9 ¼" gel. silver prints. One has pen inscription on verso: "Clove Pumping Station – Pumping with steam fire-engine from middle to high service while station pump is undergoing repairs, " signed J. M. McKay. The pumper is drawing water from a hydrant [3]. The other shows a long shed with coal and the pumping engine. Dated Jan. 4th '15. It is light [2].
