The circus was located in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Mount stamped Onawa, Iowa, ca. 1907. (Poster on the train announces a show in Ida Grove, Iowa.) The proprietors were Walter, Fred, Charlie, Jake and Ben, cousins of the Ringlings. Four of them are probably the men posed at right. This car for the Circus is Advertising car No. 2, "For the Free Distribution of Literature" [promotional material for the circus.] The men at left sit on cans of paste, and there are long brushes at the right for putting up the circus posters. 7 7/8" x 9 ½" gelatin silver print on large gray mount, no imprint. From the estate of a Gollmar family member. [3] A great addition to our presentation of "Scenes of American Life.'
