Silent film star, Lew Cody, 2 Ruth Harriet Louise

Obscure today, Cody appeared in 98 films between 1914 and 1934. Louise was hired by MGM when she was 22, and made numerous terrific star photos while working as a studio photographer until she was 27, when she was replaced by George Hurrell. Pair of vintage 14" x 10 ¾" gelatin silver prints on large mounts, one profile, one frontal, signed "Portrait by Ruth Harriet Louise" on recto beneath the print [3+].
