UNUSUAL ENGLISH TILT TOP TEA TABLE. Cast iron base has an old dark patina with openwork rococo detail and scrolled feet. The octagonal top is fitted with an oil on paper country scene done in the manner of William Shayer with women and children, horses and a dog crossing a stream. A glass covering protects the surface with finely molded wooden edges. Old split in the block. 27 1/4" x 27", 29"h.
