453. ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL (1847-1922). Scottish-born American inventor of the telephone first demonstrated in 1876 in his experiments with Thomas Watson. Other inventions include the audiometer, used to measure acuteness of hearing; and the first wax recording cylinder in 1886. Bell was one of the cofounders of the National Geographic Society. Fine darkly penned full cut signature, 3½"x1", mounted within mat frame beneath fine giclée seated portrait, 3½"x5". Overall 8"x10". Very nice. Est: $600-900
