18th Century Plug Bayonet & Scabbard, 7.75" ridged triangular double-edged spear point blade. Brass ferrule, quillon and butt, bulbous black painted wood handle. Black leather scabbard fastened at one seam, with copper throat and drag. Throat with engraving of a skull and crossed bones on one side and Vencanza es mia other side. Drag with nominal etching and bulbous finial.
Condition reportSome regions of blade with pitting and oxidation. Ca 50% of original black paint remaining on handle. All brass regions have heavy dark patina.
