N. Starr Contract Non-Commissioned Officer's Sword, ca 1818. 26" blade, right side of blade stamped Nathan Starr and US with a proof mark P with sub-inspector's initials L.S. Wood handle, iron d-guard. Japanned black iron scabbard.
Condition reportWood handle is dented and darkened in color from use. Iron d-guard has oxidized to a nice brown color. Blade has several large brown, pitted, discolored areas.
