Beaver Chapeau de Bras, ca 1821-1835. Black beaver body with black grosgrain rosette cockade on left side with brass eagle with a star on its right wing and a shield on its breast. Right talon clutching a paper scroll and left clutching arrows. Complete with a swag of undulating pattern black lace. Interior with black silk liner and blue silk hat-maker's label with A. W. Pollard Military Goods No. 6 Court Street Boston stamped in gold. Overall height 10".
