Fine Mexican War Carved Powder Horn, portion of horn with a deeply rendered inscription No Me Olvides ("Do not forget me/Remember Me"). Main portion of opposite area of horn is recessed with an alto relievo image of an anthropomorphic red-eyed leonine character tipping his hat to a patriotic red-eyed eagle with serpent in its beak and right talon, resting his weight upon its left talon. Thirteen tacks (with one tack missing) encompassing the butt. Overall length 14.75".

Lacking plug in spout and small perforation at the tip.
