Naval Chapeau De Bras in Original Box Lid Tin Case, black beaver body with black embroidered 1.25" riband with jacquard patterns of foliate and acorn motifs encompassing the crown and base of hat. Black grosgrain rosette cockade with gold bullion ribbons extending over cockade on one side of hat fastened by brass button with eagle clutching an anchor encircled by stars. Complete with gold bullion tassel mixed with single navy blue intermittent string. Inside with leather headband, burgundy silk liner stamped in gold Joseph Starkey, Manufacturer, 23 Conduit Street London, W. 17" length x 5.25" height. Lot further includes original box lid case.

One gold bullion tassel missing. Expected light wear around edges, else excellent. Hatbox is oxidized and pitted.
