Condition reportThe painting is lined to a medium weight linen fabric and is in good structural condition with no apparent flake losses, tears or other obvious damages. There is extensive retouching in the sky along the top and the left edge as well as the area directly above the Coliseum. Scattered but large areas of retouching covers paint layer abrasion in the buildings in shadow at the upper left and center quadrants.
