(81.3 x 63.8cm) note: A label inscribed "Medaille Anterieurment" is attached to the frame and the panel bears the "Blanchet Paris" stencil. PROVENANCE: Private Collection, Maryland." Condition reportThe commercially prepared walnut panel has a small (approx. 4") check in the upper center quadrant. Otherwise the panel is stable and in good condition. There are several, small, scattered areas of well executed retouching confined to the doorway above the flamingo and in the shadow areas of the figure. It appears the pupils of the sitter's eyes have also been reinforced with retouching.
