Description
Western Greece, 6th century BCE. An Archaic Greek Terracotta Protome Goddess, Western Greek, probably Sicily, ca. 500 B.C. Woman's head with slender face, long hair, polos and disc earrings. Her lips form a typical archaic smile. Her wavy hair is parted in the middle and is covered with a polos and a veil which descends to her shoulders. A small perforation for suspension on the top of her head. 5"H, not including custom stand.
