ORTHOCERAS MARBLE BOX
Handcrafted in Italy
This dramatic box is entirely fashioned from polished slabs of the finest Moroccan orthoceras marble, dating from the Devonian Period, over 350 million years ago. The distinctive white shells of the ancient cephalopods are a ghostly, floating presence in the swirling, speckled patterning of the dark gray stone, with gilt fittings to the interior, and measuring 9 1/4 x 6 1/4 x 3 6/8 inches.
