A silver Court pattern table service for twelve by Gerald Benney, London 1985, with bark effect textured handles, comprising: Twelve table forks Twenty four small forks for dessert or fish Twelve dessert spoons Twelve soup spoons Twelve tea spoons Four serving spoons A black currant ladle, 4758g (152.95 oz); Together with the following with steel blades and silver handles: Twelve table knives Twenty four small knives for cheese or fish A private collection of Gerald Benney silver This collection of Gerald Benney textured silver was commissioned by the present vendor after he had moved back to the UK and settled in a Georgian village house in Berkshire. He and his wife did much entertaining and wanted something new but elegant for dining room use. Now retired and having moved house they entertain much less nowadays and so have decided it is time to pass on this collection to a new generation who would get the same pleasure in using it as they did.
