With 4 plates having 7 illustrations from photographs. 11½x8¼, half morocco & gilt-stamped cloth, spine lettered in gilt, jacket. No. 99 of 200 copies. Second Edition, revised and expanded. The first edition was privately printed in Jerusalem in 1956, limited to only 13 copies; this expanded edition is still quite scarce, notably so in dust jacket. The designs in the book were taken from woodblocks intended to be stamped on the arms of Coptic pilgrims to Jerusalem as a guide for the tattooer's needle.
